TL;DR: We use your camera only for gameplay. We don't store your face data. Ads are shown via AdMob. No personal data is sold.

Peerware Ltd ("we", "our", or "us") operates the FaceOff mobile application ("the App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.

2. Information We Collect

FaceOff collects minimal data to provide you with the best gaming experience:

Camera Access: Used in real-time for face detection during gameplay. Face data is processed locally on your device and is NOT stored or transmitted to any server.
Game Progress: High scores, settings, and achievements are stored locally on your device.
Anonymous Usage Data: We may collect anonymized usage statistics (screens viewed, games played) to improve the app.
Advertising ID: Used by Google AdMob to display relevant advertisements.
Device Information: Basic device information for app compatibility and crash reporting.

3. Face Data

Your privacy is paramount. Face detection happens entirely on your device using MediaPipe technology. We do NOT:

Store images or videos of your face
Send face data to any server or third party
Use facial recognition to identify you
Create or store any biometric templates
Share any facial data with third parties

All face processing is performed locally on your device in real-time and is discarded immediately after each frame is processed.

4. How We Use Your Information

To provide core gameplay functionality (face expression matching)
To save your game progress locally on your device
To display advertisements via Google AdMob
To process in-app purchases via RevenueCat
To provide online leaderboard functionality (optional)
To improve app performance and fix bugs

5. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services that may collect data:

6. Advertising

We display advertisements through Google AdMob. You may see personalized ads based on your interests or non-personalized ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device's privacy settings:

Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization
iOS: Settings → Privacy → Apple Advertising → Turn off Personalized Ads

7. In-App Purchases

If you make in-app purchases, the transaction is processed by the respective app store (Google Play or Apple App Store). We do not collect or store your payment information. RevenueCat may store a pseudonymous identifier to manage your purchase entitlements.

8. Children's Privacy

FaceOff is intended for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). The app does not require account creation or personal data entry. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.

9. Data Retention

Local Data: Stored on your device until you uninstall the app or clear app data.
Leaderboard Data: Your display name and scores may be retained on our servers for leaderboard functionality.
Analytics: Anonymized analytics data may be retained for up to 14 months.

10. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

Delete your local data by uninstalling the app
Opt out of personalized ads via your device settings
Request deletion of any server-side data by contacting us
Request access to your personal data
Withdraw consent for data processing

12. International Users

If you are accessing the App from the European Union, United Kingdom, or other regions with data protection laws, please note that your data may be transferred to and processed in countries with different data protection standards.
