Welcome to HUSH - Don't Scream Challenge ("HUSH", "the App", "we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application.

By downloading, installing, or using HUSH, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use our App.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Microphone Access

HUSH requires access to your device's microphone to detect audio levels during gameplay. This is the core mechanic of the game — if you make a sound, you lose.

What we access: Real-time audio levels (volume/decibel readings)
What we DO NOT do: We do NOT record, store, transmit, or save any audio from your microphone
Processing: All audio analysis happens locally on your device in real-time and is immediately discarded

1.2 Camera Access

HUSH may request access to your device's front-facing camera to record your reaction during gameplay (optional feature).

Purpose: To capture your facial reaction when you get scared during the game
Storage: Any recorded video is stored ONLY on your device's local storage
Sharing: Videos are never automatically uploaded. You choose if/when to share
Deletion: You can delete recorded videos at any time from the "Death Vault" within the app

1.3 Local Storage

We store the following information locally on your device:

Game settings and preferences
Calibration data (your ambient noise threshold)
Gameplay statistics (survival times, number of attempts)
Recorded reaction videos (if you choose to save them)

This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to share it.

🔒 Key Privacy Point: HUSH is designed as an offline game. We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. All game data remains on your device.

2. Third-Party Services

2.1 Advertising (Google AdMob)

HUSH displays advertisements through Google AdMob. Google may collect and use data for personalized advertising purposes. This may include:

Device identifiers
IP address
Usage data

2.2 Analytics

We may use basic crash reporting to improve app stability. This data is anonymized and does not include personal information.

3. How We Use Information

The limited information we access is used solely for:

Gameplay: Analyzing microphone input to determine if you made a sound
Features: Recording optional reaction videos for your personal entertainment
Improvements: Understanding app crashes to fix bugs
Advertising: Displaying relevant ads (handled by Google AdMob)

4. Data Retention

Audio data: NOT retained — processed in real-time and immediately discarded
Video recordings: Stored on your device until you delete them
Game settings: Stored on your device until you uninstall the app

5. Data Sharing

We do NOT sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.

The only data sharing that occurs:

When you choose to share: If you export or share a reaction video from the Death Vault
Ad services: Google AdMob may collect device data for advertising (not controlled by us)

6. Your Rights & Choices

You have control over your data:

Deny permissions: You can deny microphone/camera access, but the game requires microphone access to function
Delete videos: Remove reaction videos anytime from the Death Vault or your device storage
Reset data: Clear app data through your device settings to remove all locally stored information
Opt-out of personalized ads: Adjust your device's ad preferences in system settings
Uninstall: Removing the app deletes all associated local data

7. Children's Privacy

HUSH is rated for users aged 12+ due to horror/scary themes. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

8. Security

Since all data is stored locally on your device, security depends on your device's own security measures. We recommend:

Using a screen lock on your device
Keeping your device's operating system updated
Being cautious when sharing videos

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected with a new "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
