Privacy Policy for My Pattern Log

Last Updated: October 3, 2026

My Pattern Log is made by Peerware Ltd ("we", "us"). This policy describes version 2 of the app on Android.

In short

- What you log stays on your phone. The app has no account and we run no server for it. We never receive, see or store your diary.

- The app is free and shows ads through Google AdMob. Google's advertising software collects some device information, described below. It does not include what you log.

- You can export or delete your diary at any time.

What you log

Symptoms, severity, meals, drinks, medicines, activities, notes, sleep, mood, stress and the other context measures, medications and their reminder times, and any photos you attach are stored in the app's private storage on your phone. Patterns, charts and the doctor report are worked out on your phone. None of this is sent to us or to anyone else by the app.

Your phone's own backup

So that your diary can move to a new phone, the app keeps a copy of your entries, custom symptoms and medications (not photos) in its private storage. If backup is switched on for your phone, Android includes that copy in your own device backup, held in your Google account under Google's terms. We cannot access it. You can switch device backup off in your phone's settings.

Files you choose to share

A backup file, a single entry or a doctor report leaves your phone only when you create it and choose where to send it, through your phone's share menu.

Advertising

Ads are provided by Google AdMob. To show and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google's advertising software in the app collects:

- your device's IP address, which can be used to estimate your general location;

- advertising identifiers: the Android advertising ID and the app set ID;

- how you interact with the app and its ads, such as app launches, taps and video views;

- diagnostic information, such as launch time, hang rate and energy use.

This information goes to Google, not to us, and is encrypted in transit. Google's use of it is described at https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland the app asks for your choices through Google's consent form before any ad is requested. Everywhere, you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or turn off ad personalisation, in your phone's settings.

Some longer reports and extra medications or photos open for 24 hours when you choose to watch an ad. Nothing in the app can be bought.

What we do not do

We do not collect analytics about how you use the app. We do not collect crash reports. We do not sell data, and we have none of yours to sell. The app has no sign-in.

Permissions

- Notifications: for the daily reminder and medication reminders you switch on. They are scheduled on your phone.

- Camera and photos: only when you attach a photo to an entry. Photos stay in the app's private storage.

- Internet: used by the advertising software.

Deleting your data

Delete any entry in the app. To remove everything, clear the app's storage or uninstall it. To remove a copy held in your phone backup, manage that backup in your Google account. For the information Google's advertising software collects, use the advertising settings on your phone and in your Google account.

Children

The app is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Not medical advice

My Pattern Log records what you enter and shows how often things occur together. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition, and a pattern does not prove a cause. Talk to a healthcare professional before changing your diet, medication or routine.

Changes

If the app starts handling data differently, we will update this page and its date before that version is released.
