Settle Lah ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Settle Lah mobile application (the "App"). SettleLah is developed and maintained by Peerware.


By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.


1. Information We Do NOT Collect

Settle Lah is designed with extreme privacy in mind. We do not require you to create an account, nor do we collect, harvest, or store Personally Identifiable Information (PII) such as your name, email address, physical address, or phone number on our personal servers.

2. Data We Process (And How It Is Handled)

2a. Camera and Photo Library Access

In order to provide our core service (receipt scanning and bill math extraction), Settle Lah requires permission to access your device's Camera and Photo Library.


  • Usage: When you take a photo or select an image of a receipt, the image is sent securely via a temporary internet connection directly to our AI processing proxy (powered by Google's Gemini AI) to extract text, prices, and tax information.

  • Storage & Retention: We never store, save, or archive your photos. The images you capture are processed ephemerally and immediately discarded upon extraction of the math data. Your photos belong to you.

2b. Payment and QR Code Data

The App allows you to input personal banking details (e.g., DuitNow ID, Bank Account numbers) and upload an image of your personal Payment QR Code.


  • Strictly Local Storage: All payment-related information, text, and QR code image files are saved 100% locally on your device's internal storage (Directory.Data). We absolutely never upload, track, or sync your banking identifiers or QR files to any external databases or cloud servers.


3. Third-Party Services

We employ third-party services to facilitate our App's features and to support our continued development. These services may collect information used to identify you in accordance with their own specific privacy policies.

3a. AdMob (by Google)

We use Google AdMob to display advertisements within the App. AdMob may automatically collect certain device information (such as your Device ID, IP address, and advertising identifiers) to serve relevant, personalized advertisements.


  • Opt-Out: You can opt-out of personalized advertising by visiting your Android device settings (Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization).

3b. Google Generative AI (Gemini)

We utilize Google's AI technology to power our receipt scanning engine. The textual and mathematical data extracted from your physical receipts is processed through Google's APIs.



4. Security of Your Data

We value your trust in providing your information. The App leverages highly secure, native mobile OS sandboxing (via Capacitor) to securely store your preferences and history exactly on your local device. Remember that no method of electronic transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

5. Children's Privacy

These Services do not specifically address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately so we can take necessary actions.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
