Privacy Policy
Last Updated: January 8, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Peerware Ltd ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and discloses your information when you use our mobile application, Tease (the "App"). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the App.
1. Introduction & Nature of Service
Tease is an ephemeral messaging and social engagement application designed for entertainment purposes. The core functionality allows users to send locked content ("Teases") that may disappear ("burn") after viewing.
IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER ON EPHEMERALITY: While we strive to delete content from our servers after it has been delivered or "burned," we cannot guarantee that messages or content will be permanently unavailable. Recipients may screen capture, photograph, or otherwise record content using external devices before it disappears. Peerware Ltd is not liable for any unauthorized capture or dissemination of User Generated Content by recipients.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information to provide, improve, and protect our services.
A. Information You Provide
Account Information: When you register, we may collect a Username. We do not require real names, phone numbers, or email addresses for basic usage, though you may voluntarily provide them or link a Google account for account recovery.
User Content: We collect the content you create, upload, or transmit (photos, videos, audio, text, and metadata).
Note: Your locks/messages are stored on our servers (via Firebase) only as long as necessary to deliver them to the recipient. Once delivered or expired, they are typically deleted from our active servers, though residual copies may exist in backups for a limited time.
Communications: If you contact us for support, we collect the details of your request.
B. Information Automatically Collected
Device Information: We collect information about your device, including Device ID, model, operating system, and IP address. This is used for:
Security and fraud prevention (e.g., preventing ban evasion).
Optimizing the App's performance.
Usage Data: We collect data on how you interact with the App, such as:
Frequency of use.
Features used (e.g., "Stalker Mode" activation, Vault access).
Ad interactions.
C. "Stalker Mode" & Analytics Features
The App includes a feature marketed as "Stalker Mode." This feature provides analytics regarding:
Who viewed your profile.
Failed attempts to unlock your content (including the guess made).
Timing of interactions.
Clarification: "Stalker Mode" is a branding term for Viewer Insights. It does not provide real-time location tracking or access to private data of other users beyond their interactions with your specific content.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your data to:
Provide the Service: Deliver messages, process unlocks, and manage your Vault.
Monetize: Display advertisements (via AdMob) and process In-App Purchases (via RevenueCat).
Improve Safety: Detect and ban users violating our terms (e.g., abusive content).
Legal Compliance: Comply with valid legal process and protect the rights of Peerware Ltd and our users.
4. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We share data only as follows:
Service Providers: We use trusted third-party services to operate the App:
Google Firebase: For backend hosting, authentication, and database services.
RevenueCat: For managing In-App Purchases and subscriptions.
Google AdMob: For delivering advertising. These providers may collect data (e.g., Advertising ID) to serve personalized ads.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the safety of any person.
Business Transfers: If Peerware Ltd is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred.
5. User Generated Content (UGC) & Liability
Zero Liability for User Interactions: You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users. Peerware Ltd does not conduct criminal background checks on its users. We are not liable for the conduct of any user, on or off the Service.
Content Moderation: We have a zero-tolerance policy for illegal content, including Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM), non-consensual sexual content, or harassment. We utilize automated tools (e.g., Google ML Kit) and user reporting to flag and remove such content. However, we cannot guarantee that all illicit content will be detected immediately.
Release: By using the App, you release Peerware Ltd (and our officers, employees, and agents) from claims, demands, and damages of every kind and nature, known and unknown, arising out of or in any way connected with any disputes with other users or third parties.
6. Data Retention
Undelivered Messages: Retained for up to 30 days, then deleted.
Delivered/Burnt Messages: Deleted from servers immediately or shortly after viewing/expiration.
Vault Items: Stored locally on your device. Unlocked items saved to the cloud are retained until you delete them or your account is terminated.
Backup: Deleted content may persist in encrypted backup archives for up to 90 days for disaster recovery.
7. Security
We implement commercially reasonable security measures (encryption in transit and at rest via Firebase) to protect your information. However, no transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. You acknowledge that you provide your personal information at your own risk.
8. Children’s Privacy
Strictly 18+: Tease is intended ONLY for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18. If we become aware that a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information and terminate the account immediately.

11. Limitation of Liability (Privacy Related)
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PEERWARE LTD SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM: (A) YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE THE APP; (B) ANY UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO OR USE OF OUR SERVERS AND/OR ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION STORED THEREIN.
